Secret Keeper by Polinka

I loved these Secret Keepers as soon as I got one in my hands!! My first thought was to make it the perfect storage for the children's drawings and scrapbooks, so I decided to create one for each of my nephews and nieces... Here's the first one:

Noah

Supplies:

Secret Keeper Cardstock - Star by Urban Lily
Petite by Urban Lily - Mayella Collection
Massimo - Blink Collection by Urban Lily
Answer It Chipboard by Urban Lily
Accents by Urban Lily - Urban Cut Collection
Memory Photocards - Polka Dot by Urban Lily ** Flirtatious Kit

White Cardstock
Helmar Adhesive Runner
French stamps for the words
Black ink
Brads
thread
A distressing tool

I simply added 2 pieces of white cardstock inside the secret keeper, in order to be practical!

And to finish, the closing system: just enrolling the thread around the 2 circles...

Have a great day :)

Aida's Blue and Simple

Hello Urban Lily Fans ! It's me Aida with a simple layout you can create in minutes. We all know about packed days that leave us hardly anytime to get those precious memories down in layouts and I would like to share with you one I made using simple shapes and two flowers cut from a single paper.

As you can see I've used three photos to show my daughter's passion for her music and her belief she will succeed in this field. She's not a girlie-girl, a feminine color would not suit her personality and instead I opted for a soft blue of the Blink Collection. I drew a strong black border to frame the photos and papers and added a few jeweled brads to give the layout the bling factor.

Simple, finished in minutes and you will have a lasting moment to keep !

Thank you for joining me here, I'll see you soon.

Happy Together

Howdy! I would like to share a super quick layout, using two papers from Urban Lily!
I really love that with one piece of paper, your page is almost ready! :D

For the background I used Sushi by Urban Lily - Everyday Lily Collection then as a "mat" for my picture I used the pink circle of the Sugarhigh - Mooch Collection by Urban Lil; finally as a visual accent I opted for the bottom decorated of the Memory Photocards - Polka Dot by Urban Lily As a part of the title I used Alphabet by Urban Lily; finally I added some glitter letters to complete it!

Of course I used Helmar adhesive runner! (love it)

Enjoy your weekend!

Akiko’s work of “Secret Keeper Windows”

Hello everyone! I made two works using "Secret Keeper Windows." I introduce a 12-inch layout first.

[nice day]
Supplies:
Paper, Secret Keeper Windows, rubon – Urban Lily
Adhesives – Helmar Adhesives
Other –ribbon,cardstock

It used Apple of Sugary Collection for the main paper. Alphabet of Urban Cut Collection was used for the title. And the heart arranged under a layout is Smootch of Mooch Collection.

I used Memory Photocards-Posh for the mat of a photograph.

With this work, Secret Keeper Windows has arranged the photograph. The paper used here is Sushi Stripe of Everyday Lily Collection.
The following work is using two Secret Keeper Windows.

[mini book]
Supplies:
Paper, Secret Keeper Windows, rubon – Urban Lily
Adhesives – Helmar Adhesives
Other –ink,stamps, embossing powder
It is pasting Secret Keeper Windows of two sheets together by the paper.

It pushes on Secret Keeper Windows using Varsa Mark and a stamp first. After sprinkling embossing powder from moreover, it melts using an embossing heater. After it cools down, it colors using Distress Ink.

It is an inner side of a pink cover. As it is, it can also decorate.

Another Secret Keeper Windows was colored in blue.

And it is an inside page.

It is the portion which pasted Secret Keeper Windows of two sheets together. The photograph was stuck also on this portion. And decorating as it is is also possible.
Thank you for stopping to this blog!
Have a great weekend!

Just a Little Baby Love

For this page I started with a 12 x 12 sheet of watercolor paper and added the  Massimo paper by Urban lily papers on the page. I stitched around the green edge with black thread and then cut out the circle and adhered it to the water color paper.

The smallerr circle elements were punched out of a sheet of Breeze By / Urban Lily paper.  I inked the edges of the blue circles and spritzed them with Shimmerz paints. I used one of the Luna Memory Cards to frame the photo.

Pinkalicious Project

Good day, everyone!

I would like to share one of my recent projects using the bright and beautiful papers of Urban Swank. In my layout, I used the Lulliloo Collection.

I used this sketch taken from Sketchy Thursdays.

...and I created this layout using Urban Swank:

Honestly, I didn't really need to do much to make this layout come to life. The beautiful papers do all the work! I especially LOVE the pink colors in this collection. It makes for pinkalicious projects!

brought to you from on the road

Greetings fellow Urban Lily lovers! I am posting this for you today from a city of love, San Francisco! I'm actually out of town on a business trip and am very busy with meetings and talks and - ok, I'll admit it, sight seeing! I have to take tons of pictures so I have fun stuff to scrap. Here's a page that I created for you using just the Urban Lily ATC cards, the chipboard circle pieces, and secret keeper windows. I altered each of the cards and the secret keeper windows with stamps and clear embossing powder (or white) and then sprayed some of them with glimmer mist. I think they turned out so pretty!

Of course the whole thing is held together with the wonderful Helmar Adhesives. I urge you to give it a try too.

Happy Monday: I hope you have been inspired by all the creations brought to you by these fabulous girls. I like to alter the world and this project, I altered 6 inch tiles for a plate rack. My little girl Malia was the most beautiful baby. This paper is perfect for a baby girl. I used Bazzill bling for the base and photo mats for the tiles. The Helmar V2 adhesive spray works perfect for attaching the paper to the tiles.

The first tile I cut out the extra flowers from the Sushi stripe paper added some Paper flowers, leaves and bling. The swirl is just chipboard painted and distressed. Layer all of the elements and add foam dots.

The Second Tile I cut the circle out of the Sushi Stripe paper and added the picture behind. The whole tile is covered in cardstock first. Used cut out flowers and papers flowers to enhance the circle cutout photo.

I hope you find this project inspiring.

Have a Scrappy Day

Spring is Finally Here by Virginia

Happy Spring Everyone!

I love Spring...not just the buds on the trees, the increased hours of daylight, the puddles and the birds chirping...I love it all! So it seems fitting that I alter a wee birdhouse in honour of spring using some delicious Urban Lily papers.

On the roof, I layered punched circles from the Petite - Mayelle collection. The walls of the bird house were layered with fussy cut flowers from the Linen - Everyday collection. Of course, all the papers were adhered using the Helmar 450 glue - gosh, this glue is outta this world! After the papers dried, the birdhouse was sprayed with Tattered Angels glimmer mist - Walnut Gold and Arctic Blue.

To add some depth, I used my Hero Arts stamps, Prism Simply Smooth cardstock and my Copic markers to create some yummy butterflies hovering around the house.

Spring in our household is a sign of change. I purge like mad, donating what I can to worthwhile causes, sell what I can and junk the rest. My daughters recently changed bus routes and to help my littlest remember her specifics, I created a "calling card" for her.

Here is the front...

Here is the back...

Thanks for letting me share!
