Mooch Collection

Hi it's Janet here with you today. Hope you are having a great Sunday.

The other day I was trying to do some organizing in my scrap room......you all know how that it is right?
Well I came across a Hambly transparency that I had never used even though it was my current favourite colour...teal! I wondered what could I create with it instead of it just being put right back into my stash and I immediately thought of the Mooch collection that also has the teal in it.

So I pulled just 2 papers from this collection, Spark and Gossip and along with my transparency, cardstock, stamps and some bling made 2 cards.

I think they turned out great!!





I hope you will be inspired to pull out some of your forgotten product and team them up with some awesome Urban Lily paper, which is currently all on sale at Scrap-Tastic, and get creating!

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Are you trying to beat the heat where you live? I am!
Happy Sunday all. It's Janet here today and I'm trying to keep cool. :)

There is nothing I like better than an ice cream cone on a hot summer day so I thought why not make one on a card.

I punched circles out of the Hyperactive paper from the Mooch collection to make my ice cream scoops and used the Impish paper from the Mayella collection for the background of my card.


Here you can see the Stickles that I added to my "scoops" to make them glittery.


This card was so easy to make and I LOVE how it turned out!

A card and some ATC by Petra

Today I am showing a card and some ATC cards using Urban Lily ATC catds and urban cuts.

The card has a Urban Cuts tag with a Congrats greeting. I used machine stitching to close the card so that the tag wouldn't fall out.

Urban Lily have this cute little ATC card pack with adorable colors and dotty pattern. All I had to do with the base was to round the corners. I cut out some detals and stitched on.

Unsuspecting Cards by Virginia

It is no secret that I love Urban Lily papers. I love the bold, vibrant and interesting designs. To me, this makes for versatility. Using the Lulu and Blackout papers, I created 2 birthday unorthodox birthday cards for two tween girls.

Here they are. They are simple in design to showcase the colour and details of the papers.

And here is a girly girl card for a sweet 6 year old.

It's an All-Occassion!!!

It's no secret that I struggle making cards...I really do! It's easier for me to whip up and doll up a layout than it is to create an intricate card to express my deepest feelings. What I find the most difficult with creating cards is that the space is smaller and I feel very pressured to use eye catching colours and patterns. So imagine my surprise when I looked at my Urban Lily papers and realized how easy peasy it was to mix and match between the collections! Once I made this discovery, I just had to whip up a few cards!

Here they are!

And guess what? Making cards with Urban Lily papers has been (in the words of my youngest daughter) "easy peasy lemon squeezy!" LOL

All you need is cardstock (I used metallic foil cardstock), some ribbon, foam letters and the gorgeous Urban Lily papers:

Just cut the 4 edges of the cardstock, scrap it, fold it and tie your new card with a ribbon... quick and easy, isn't it?

Calling all Fashionistas! (by Virginia)

Do you have someone in your circle of family and friends that is a fashionista? or are you looking for an interesting way to give a gift certificate? If so, this post is for you!

Here is an adorable purse card that you can dress-up or -down? Any fashionista would love it! (My daughter is "shopping" with the purse card this morning at her play grocery store. LOL) It is perfect for giving gift certificates or for writing a personal note to the recipent. The paper used was Chic.

And here is another way to deliver a gift certificate to a special someone. Those adorable Urban Lily secret keepers are fabulous for giving gift certificates. Here is my dolled up secret keeper!

Papers used are Chic and Linen Stripe .

And when the secret keeper is opened, here is what it looks like. I have included a personal message on the backside.
