I am lucky to have been chosen as a swanky girl. My layout features my darling daughter and her many faces. I took all the pictures within 5 minutes. When I saw the pictures, I was amazed by how many different looks she had given me. I than had fun and labeled all the pics. I used the Happy Everything Collection Beautiful and celebrate papers. This layout was simple I just cut out the design from the Beautiful paper mounted it on the pink bazzil heart paper and layered on black bling. I added some stickles to the edges. The font is from American Crafts.

The Dark Side

I have pretty much been blond all my life, so when I went dark, I had to document it!

Urban Lily Supplies:

Alphabet Paper

Sugarhigh Paper

Polka Dot Memory Photocards

ATC Cards

I cut the letters from the Alphabet paper and matted with the leftover portion from the Sugarhigh paper used to make the Popsicle flower.

I added a bit of Glimmer Mist and used some Urban Lily ATC Cards.

I used Helmar's Textured Effects on the alphas to add texture.

And I even made a little embellishment from the Textured Effects! Click here to view instructions on how to make your own.

Hello scrappers ! My name is Aida and I was completely *WOWED !!!* at seeing the Urban Lily products in real life. When I fist started scrapping, the clean fresh looks of Urban Lily was a huge attraction and dreams of being on the team were just that : dreams. Fast forward to today, it is such a thrill to be designing projects for Urban Swank and I hope the two layouts below will give you ideas on how to start using the products !

This layout uses the title Good Fun and it's a group of teen dancers who are friends.

We loved the movie The Incredibles ! It's really does say how we often knuckle down to society's expectations even while we downplay gifts or talents that are not mainstream. The Mrs Incredible figurine from McDonalds hangs on my Mac and reminds me to be resolute, to believe in my family and myself no matter what.

I am a mom to 4. I wish I could scrapbook instead of sleep… I think sleeping is a big waste of time! I am a Zumba Certified Instructor and also teach Sculpt, Boot Camp, Yoga and Kickbox classes. I love sushi, scrapbooking, reality TV, the color pink, and everything fluffy, frilly, shimmery and sparkly!

I'm a graphic designer, I know my husband since 1994 and this month is our 5th wedding anniversary, My favorite color is orange, I love playing video games, I dislike melons! I'm addicted to coke & TV shows, I love shopping for shoes! :D

I'm a southern girl from Mississippi living in California, and have been married 8 years to my handsome Wes. I spend my days as an obsessive photographer and scrapbooker, and teaching cooking classes on the weekends. My biggest inspiration is my family, and I'm always wishing they and the beach were closer.

I am from the tiny tropical island of Singapore. For a long time beautiful fabric and paper designs have fascinated me and when I found scrapbooking 7 years ago, it was like finding my perfect little craft heaven. Thankfully my husband Augustine is tremendously supportive and my two teen girls Stasha and Nura having grown up with a craft-mad mom, think my being nutty about scrapbooking is normal! I am a talker, love meeting people, and try very hard to weave into my life the other passions of dance, theater and cooking. Being chosen for Urban Swank's Design Team is such a thrill, an absolute honor and I hope to show some of the endless, creative possibilities in using the products.

I'm Akiko Kuroki (aka akilia) and I live in Japan. I am married to my great husband and we have a lovely daughter RIho(6 years old). I began scrapbooking in 2007. Although two years will pass soon, I enjoy scrapbooking every day. I like creating 12z12 single layouts. And I like creating mini albums. I receive inspirations from great scrapbooking products.

I call beautiful Ontario Canada my home. I live in a testosterone filled home with my wonderful husband Dan of 19 years along with my lovable sons Blake (15) and Jared (11). When I’m not scrapbooking until the wee hours of the morning, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and keep busy running our Custom Cabinetry business with my husband.
Life can sure get hectic sometimes but I thrive on adventure and chaos and this hobby is just what I need to wind down and remind me of what is important. To relax and take my mind off of what my next scrapbooking project will be, I love playing with my camera and photographing tiny moments and details that will help me preserve all of these wonderful memories in my life. Some may say I’m obsessed with this hobby, but it is simply a part of my everyday life, much like shopping, lounging by the pool, my obsession with blogs, and my never ending craving for Starbucks coffee!

I went to college for Interior Design but have never worked in that field. I have always loved color, design, paint, photography, drawing, creating, trying new things.
My husband and I have 3 children who are grown, 2 are in college. We have no grandchildren, but the pet population just increased by one. My son brought his dog home which brings the pet population to 6 dogs ( 4 bassetts, 3 labs) 1 cat, 1 bird. Two of the dogs belong to my husband and I.

Hi, my name is Simona and I live in a wonderful boot called Italy with a Vespa-scooter lover tattooed husband named Davide, a gorgeous 2 and 1/2 years old girl named Guendalina "Gughi", and two spoiled dogs, Tony and Olivia. I'm a scrapbooking addict since 2005 and I love pizza, Amy Winehouse, the snow, crocheted toys, Coca Cola Light, Vespa scooters, travelling, Dexter, Crocs in the summer and Ugg boots in the winter, flea-markets, Cirque du Soleil, walking barefoot, 60's fabrics, Sex and the City, Russian dolls, sewing, macadamia nuts, Frank Sinatra. I'm so excited to be part of this talented design team :-)

I finally took time off of my scrap everyday schedule to clean my scrapbook room and it only took me 2 days! Now that it's clean, I can't keep my husband and children out of it. They want to come in and hang out with me so I've set my oldest up with his own space to color and practice his writing and my husband has a chair to watch movies and look at pages while I scrap them.

I am still in the process of going through all of the AMAZING submissions! You girls are absolutely incredible! I love seeing each and everyone's unique style in your LOs and reading about you! I would really love to choose you all and get going sending you all product... ok, back to reality! So, I will need a few more days.

No, it's not too late.... Design Team applications are due by the stoke of midnight (CST) tomorrow, Halloween! It is going to be really hard choosing the new Design Team!

Great News!!! Urban Lily is now a Preferred Product of Helmar Adhesives! That means that the new Design Team Members will receive Helmar Adhesives along with their Urban Lily in their box of goodies!

While Urban Lily is in the process of getting their Design Team together I would LOVE to post some Urban Lily creations here! All you have to do is comment here with a link to your layout, card, mini album.... pretty much anything that includes mostly Urban Lily products :)

Love Urban Lily? Want to Design with Urban Lily Products? Look no further! Urban Swank is a new distributor exclusive to selling Urban Lily products. We are looking for Design Team members to create fabulous LOs, cards and projects with Urban Lily products.

Please read carefully. Applications that are missing information/requirements will not be considered.

E-mail the following to UrbanSwank@wi.rr.com with "Urban Swank DT Call" in the subject line:
a. Name
b. Cty, State, Country
c. Resume/blog/gallery links if you have them, if you don't that is ok!
d. A few sentences about yourself
e. 3-5 recent LOs, projects, altered items, cards, mini albums and/or projects representing you and your style. Recent, meaning within the last two months. Please, no more than 5 images and each must be 100k or less. Images must look great, no dark or blurry images please. Using Urban Lily products is preferred, but not mandatory. Let me know if you need help locating a retailer.

What is expected of a Design Team Member:
-Create 4 items per month that use at least 75% Urban Lily products.... LOs, mini books, projects or altered items.
-Promote Urban Lily products on your blog, fb, myspace and scrappy websites you frequent, if allowed, along with sporting the Urban Swank blinkie!
-Post creations along with simple instructions and any cool techniques to the Urban Swank Blog twice monthly.
-Participate on the Urban Swank facebook fan page and Urban Swank forum.

The DT term will be one year running from November 2009 to October 31st, 2010.
