Urban Lily and Project 12

Hi everyone, Andrea MacDonald here with you today. For my project this week I decided to combine my Urban Lily products and participate in the Project 12. Are any of you participating in Project 12? This is my second year and I love that every month I have a layout that summarizes that month. What I love even more is you have a sketch to work with. Here is the Becky Fleck sketch provided for June:
This is the layout I created using my Urban Lily products:

The best part is you can make the sketch your own.
For this layout I fussy cut my papers and then added Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam. It gave it sparkle but also curled the flowers to give is a little dimension.

Thanks for joining me today and I encourage you to try out Project 12 and of course play with all of your Urban Lily goodies. For your Urban Lily needs please visit Scraptastic!

Rain Play

I love these pages by Urban Lily. With a little effort they are finished. I cut the circles from another Urban Lily pattern paper along with the title and voila the layout was complete. The colors and prints were perfect for showcasing my daughter playing in the rain.

~Circle page by Mandy Harrell~

I love round layouts and I don't do them often enough.  I just think they have such a nice flowing feel to them.  I created this layout using papers from the Urban Lily Blink collection and bits from the Urban Cuts pages.  I just added in some of my own embellishments.  I based this layout on a sketch by Ali MacDonald.

To get the scallops I used a large scalloped decorative scissor and went around the edges.  Other decorative styles work as well.

A tip I always like to share when working with flowers or larger embellishments is to cluster up and hug them into your photos.  This way they don't look like they are floating on your page.

A Little Rock N Roll!

The Urban Lily papers and this photo of my daughter were a perfect match! I love the rock n roll feel that they give. Bree definately marches to her own drum and likes to wear what she wants to when she wants to. One of her favorite clothing items is her hot pink tutu. And what goes perfect with hot pink.... lots of black! Add a gorgeous graphic heart design and you have the perfect touch! I cut out a couple of black and white flowers from the Urban Lily Urban Cuts for great accents. I also used one of the Urban Lily ATC Cards for a background accent. To add a little more interest I mixed some different alpha stickers with my journaling strips. This is a really easy way to mix up your designs a little. So next time you decide to sit down and scrapbook think about adding a little rock n roll!

Romantic summer - by Eli

I love summer, it's my favorite season. So this week I did a summer LO with Everyday and Just add color collections, in a romantic style perfect with this papers!

As background, I choosed the Lined Stripe paper. From Chic paper I cut a frame.  Then I used an old
scrap of cloth embroidered, below the photo.
As embellishment, I paired the big chipboard butterfly, from Secret Keeper Windows set, with a smaller punched from the same stripes paper, colored with green ink.
In the opposite corner, I used two big flowers cut out of the Sushi Dot paper, and other flowers combined. Into the flowers I added a chipboard from Answer it chipboards.

Now I write the title and the page was finished!

Supplies:
Urban Lily: papers and chipboards
Prima Marketing: flowers and strasses
Basic Grey: brads and bottons
Pink Paislee: Chipboards
Karen Foster: alpha stickers
Martha Stewart: punch

YUM

Happy Father's Day!! It's Janet with you here today with a layout.

A couple times a year I go to a Scrapbook Retreat in Michigan and they treat us like Queens! The food is to die for and I'm sure that I come home a few pounds heavier. LOL!! In my layout I feature a photo of just one of the appetizers we had.

I just love the paper that I used for my background so I didn't want to cover it up too much. It is the Apple paper from the Sugary collection.

For my striped border piece I used Mid Summer from the Sugary collection. For my title I used the Alphabet from the Urban Cut Collection.

I cut out a couple of the scalloped circles from the minibook paper in the Urban Cut collection to use as my embellishments.

Patterned paper: Urban Lily
Punches: C.M. & M.S.
Cardstock: Bazzill
Gems: K&Co.

Double pager

Hi friends, it's Andrea MacDonald here with you today. A few weeks ago my 3 year old completed her first race. Definitely something worthy of documenting. I did a double page layout using the adorable Urban Lily Mooch collection. I also took advantage of the Urban Lily Chipboard Circles.
I've noticed a trend in the scrapbooking industry using "Blue Ribbon" embellishments. I thought the Urban Lily Answer It Chipboard Circles were the perfect reason to create one.

I also used the Number it Chipboard Circles for a sub-title.

I am head over heels about the Urban Lily Chipboard Circles. You can find them at Scraptastic
Thanks for joining me here today.

A Touch of Elegance

Hi everyone! I want to share a design that I made with my daughter's fifth grade graduation photos. I knew that I wanted something elegant for this one & loved the beautiful butterflies from the Urban Lily "Bliss" paper. However the colors just didn't go with the photos that I had taken. The perfect solution was to cut them out and use them on another sheet of Urban Lily that did match! I chose the "Bloss" paper for the background and then just adhered several butterflies onto the page and bent their wings a little for more dimension and to make them appear to be in mid flight. I love the way it turned out! Urban Lily papers are perfect for paper piecing and can be used in so many different combinations. Give it a try for yourself!

MayElla collection by Petra

She loves to be outdoors my little girl. When I saw the papers of the MayElla collection and those big green circles I just knew I wanted to make a rather strict graphical design and let those fussy cut green circles extend outside the borders - outside the box - I also added some punched leaves that peeks outside the borders.

Supply (Utomhus / Outdoors):
Urban Lily MayElla Collection: Petite (ULP323), Sassy (ULP320), Impish (ULP325)

I used the left over pieces of the MayElla papers to create a second layout in a more wimsy style. I added a Photocard and cut the journaling spot from Urban Cuts accents. The layout is a bout my favorite Paul Frank flippflopp that has past on to a life after this :).

Supply (R.I.P):
Urban Lily MayElla Collection: Petite (ULP323), Impish (ULP325)

Think pink! by Eli

Today I  want to show you a monocromatic LO. Black, white and pink. I had two photos about my little Noemi, sleeping in her pink bed. She is so sweet when she sleeps! So I want to wish her, today and forever, pink dreams.

I choosed as background the Blackout paper from Blink collection and I underlined the swirls with liquid pearls.

I added the big hearth from Smooch paper and a frame from Mini Book B&W paper. On this part I wrote the title.

In the other side, I used 4 circles from Hyperactive paper, as a scalloped border for the photos that I have matted with acrylic paint and two embroidery threads, pink, of course.

As embellishment I choosed a big flower rub-on and I did the center with a chipboard.

With the remains of the papers, a stripe from Polka Dot photo cards, and another rub-on, I preparared a card for a new baby.

Supply list:
Urban Lily Papers and Chipboards
Rub-ons Creative Imaginations
Liquid Pearls Ranger

See you.

My Little Rock Stars

Hi everyone! It's Janet here today.

I've been trying to get some of my older photos scrapped so I used a sketch from Frosted Designs and pulled out these pictures of my 3 children from almost 30 years ago! Take a look at the wallpaper and flooring in the photos!! Yikes!! lol!!

For my background paper I used "Cheeky" from the Mayella collection. Love those swirls.
The circle behind my photos was cut from "Forever" from the Happy Everything collection. Aren't those stripes of colour and the dots great?

All those polka dots in the 4 corners of the Cheeky paper were originally white but I just coloured some of them in with my Copics to mimic the dots in the Forever paper.

I added some embellishments including the chipboard circle from the Number It collection and ended up with a great memory finally scrapped!

My children were definitely My Little Rock Stars!!!
