A gift for dad

Hi everyone, Andrea MacDonald here and I am absolutely thrilled to be posting my very first post for the Urban Swank design team. The ladies have been doing a fabulous job showcasing the awesome Urban Lily products as well as their amazing talent!!!
Today I wanted to show you a great little idea to use up the fabulous Secret Keeper Cardstock! Since Fathers Day is fast approaching I thought I would make a little book for my girls to give to their daddy. We had family photos taken a few weeks ago which are amazing, and wanted to show them off.
I used the heart Secret Keeper Cardstock and used a polka dot stamp and clear heat embossed the entire page. I then misted it with Riptide Glimmer Mist and using a paper towel rubbed over the surface so I didn't create any splatter marks. I cut out some Urban Cut Alphabet letters and Glimmer Misted them in Apple.

On the inside flaps I used the "Just add color"- Chic Urban Lily paper (that's the green paper).
For the pages I accordion folded a piece of paper that was 8 inches long and about 6 inches wide. Folded it 6 to 8 times (depending on how many pages you want to add) and just used different sized pieces of the Everyday Lily line and corner rounded the outside edges.
Here's the first page:
I fussy cut inside the frame and adhere the photo on the backside of the page.
A filler page using a "Happy" stamp and one of the Urban Lily ATC cards and adhered a punched butterfly.
For this one I just threw on some paint splatters using Apple Glimmer Mist and found a dad poem online.
Next page I fussy cut around the flowers so I could slip the photo in without covering those gorgeous flowers. I also pleated the paper to make it look like a ribbon and then stitched over top to hold it all down.
This last page I fussy cut out the flowers and pop doted them to give a little dimension to the final page. I also inked the edges in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Broken China. The colour matched great! There is also a little page I did not photograph. I am saving it for the girls to write an I love you for their dad.
So there you have it. A little album for that special guy. Super easy to create with the fabulous Secret Keeper Cardstock. You seriously need to get your hands on some because they really are fun to play with. For all of your Urban Lily needs visit Scraptastic.
Thanks again for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed the album.
